Artists I Love!

Joe Bonamassa.  Those of you who know me know how devoted I am to this genius blues rock guitarist (and, I'm happy to say, friend).  I have a simple reason for it:  he's just that damn good.

I actually knew Stevie Ray Vaughn, back in the day, and had the privilege of sitting stage-side for many of his shows.  I can say with authority that Joe is every bit as good.  There's a certain genius that only a few musicians ever capture, and Joe's got it.  Catch him while you can still get those coveted close-up performances!

Joe Bonamassa's four part video series brought to you by Wealth TV

Joe's tour schedule is here, and you can order his CDs and DVDs from Amazon here.  Here's his Myspace page, which features some great jukebox tracks, including the fabulous "Bridge to Better Days" and "Burning Hell."

Jim Suhler & Monkey Beat.  Local Dallas legends, they rock the blues hard, and they're a total treat to see live.  Also, they've got many songs that I love, but a few of them are "Bones in the Closet" and "Voodoo Light" and the amazing "Shake."  And coincidentally enough, you can check two out of three of those songs out at their Myspace page, so please, go take a listen!

Soundtracks

Writing a book is hard, hard work.  Okay, it ain't roofing houses in the summer in Texas, but still, it can get pretty sweaty when the deadlines roll around.  So to keep myself on target, I put together soundtracks for each Weather Warden book, and they've helped me stay focused.  I give you the lists here ... if you'd like to iPod them yourself as you read the books, go right ahead!  (And yes, suggestions are always welcome for future soundtracks!)

But I can't swear listening to the music will explain what I was thinking.  I don't think any soundtrack can explain that.
