12/24/07 - I'm very pleased to announce that NAL (publisher of the Morganville Vampires series) has agreed to publish two more books in the series, bringing the total to six by the end of 2008.
8/23/07 - A new series! Yep, the Weather Warden series and Morganville Vampires continue to roll along, but meanwhile, Roc (publisher of the Weather Warden series) has agreed to publish a new four-book series called OUTCAST SEASON, which follows the story of a Djinn cut off from her former supernatural existence, forced to depend on the Wardens for her very life, and taking on challenges that the Djinn themselves can't -- or won't -- handle. I'll be starting work on it in the first part of 2008.
8/22/07 - Well, it's official: I'm working on the next Morganville Vampires novel, FEAST OF FOOLS! It's scheduled to be out in the fall of 2008.
3/12/07 - MORE GREAT NEWS! I'm very excited to announce that the Morganville Vampires series has been optioned for film, television and multimedia worldwide by British producer Charles Armitage. You can find out more about Mr. Armitage here: http://www.charlesarmitage.com -- I'm especially thrilled because the British series RED DWARF is one of my all-time favorites!
What does this mean? It means that Mr. Armitage has the exclusive right to develop Morganville Vampires for film, television, and other media for the next few years. I'm very honored that he has shown such faith in the story! I don't yet have any information about where this will end up, but the possibilities are all really exciting, especially for a self-confessed movie and TV addict like me.
I will keep you updated when I have more information.
2/4/07 - GREAT NEWS! I've just reached a deal with my publisher Roc for three more Weather Warden series following the release of THIN AIR in August! I'm very excited, and I'm really looking forward to telling more stories in this very fun universe!
