TEXAS PRAIRIE UNIVERSITY

Texas Prairie University is one of the foremost institutions of higher learning in Southwest Texas, and boasts impressive enrollment (and attendance) statistics from both local and non-local students.

Housing is only available on campus, in one of our six dormitories. Students under the age of 20 are housed in single-sex dormitories; after their 20th birthday, students have a choice of continuing in a single-sex dorm, or moving to a building (Norton Hall) which accepts both male and female residents.

TPU offers a solid core educational program with easily transferrable credits to any in-state or out-of-state institution.

For the security of our students, we conduct regular security drills and have a highly trained enforcement unit to ensure personal safety.

We do not allow students to leave campus during security drills.

Here at TPU, we pride ourselves on providing a rich, secure environment for our students. Our on-campus facilities are extensive ... you will rarely need to leave the TPU grounds, as everything you need is within our walls -- from a multi-story library complex to an on-campus movie theater, and even a dance club. Of course, we also have a thriving fraternity and sorority system. Epsilon Epsilon Kappa (EEK) is especially popular around Halloween, when they host a legendary holiday-themed party called the Dead Girls’ Dance. If you do venture off-campus at any time, please restrict your visits to the shops of Morganville to daylight hours.
